About

Endeavour Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is made up of persons whom share a common interest in enriching the education that happens in or around Endeavour in Mukilteo, WA. We are a registered non-profit organization recognized by Washington State and the US Treasury. We operate using only grants, donations, and volunteer hours. Endeavour Elementary PTA is part of the Washington State PTA network and the National PTA network, allowing greater advocacy for all students. Our membership is made of parents, teachers, community members, who vote annually for a board of directors.

Jennifer Kwong
she/her

Jennifer has a fourth grader at Endeavour and a sixth grader at Harbour Pointe Middle School. Jennifer is also the Vice President of the Harbour Pointe PTO. In the past, Jennifer has worked on Spirit Wear, Fundraising, as well as being the chairperson for Family Fun Nights that include Boo Bash, Movie Nights, Bingo. She has served two terms as Vice President of Endeavour PTA. This is her second term as PTA President.

Crystal Hernandez
she/her

Crystal is a full-time paraeducator at Endeavour and has two students at Harbour Pointe Middle School, who previously attended Endeavour. Crystal has been actively involved in the PTA as a volunteer as long as her students have been at Endeavour through the Art Docent program, as well as at after school events. This is Crystal's first term as PTA Vice President.

Becky Rudzinski
she/her

Becky is a full time paraeducator at Endeavour, has a fourth grader at Endeavour, and an eighth grader at Harbour Pointe Middle School. Becky has been an active member and volunteer in the PTA for many years, helping at our after school events. Becky also brings in experience from being involved in a PTA in a different school district. This is Becky's second term as Vice President.

Katy Moore
she/her

Katy's oldest son is in Kindergarten at Endeavour. She has two more little boys at home- ages 2 and 4. She is a neonatal nurse practitioner with Seattle Children's Hospital, and she has served in the U.S. Army for over 16 years. Katy enjoyed skiing, STEM, and is currently serving her first half-term as PTA secretary. 

Cori Vonnegut
she/her

Cori has a first grader and a fourth grader at Endeavour. Cori has been a great asset to our volunteer team and has worked on seamlessly jumping in to do Spirit Wear and helping in all activities for our after school events. Cori is an accountant by profession, and this is her first term as PTA Treasurer.

We are proud to be a part of the Washington State PTA, the oldest and largest volunteer association dedicated to the education, health, welfare, and safety of all children in Washington state. As a part of Endeavour PTA, Washington State PTA, your membership dues also apply towards membership to the National PTA. The National PTA offers a wide range of programs, toolkits, awards, grants, and leadership networks that focus on creating meaningful engagement of families for student success and school improvements. Each resource is guided by the PTA National Standards for Family-School Partnerships.

Programs offered by National PTA are created to organize and support parent and community engagement in every child’s education. The programs are created with leading expert organizations on topics of importance to our members and community partners.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PTA?

A PTA is a non-profit organization made up of Parents, Teachers, and community members that have a connection with the school, in our case, Endeavour Elementary in Mukilteo, WA. The group has an elected board of officers, that meet monthly to discuss ways to improve the learning experience for our students. There are an average of 4 all-membership meetings a year. In the 2021-2022 school year, all meetings will be held via Zoom.

Why should I join?

Your voice matters, and your voice has power. We love to hear fresh ideas on how to improve the learning experience of our students. 

Where does the money go?

The money from our membership and donations fund after school programs including, but not limited to, Family Fun Nights, Art Club, Garden Club. In the 2021-2022 school year, we were able to offer teacher grants in order to provide new enrichment for students, including a focus on student's Social and Emotional Learning. In year's past, we were able to help fund field trips, transportation, and much more. A portion of your membership dues also go to fund state and national advocacy programs that help all students.

How do I volunteer?

If you have a skill-set you'd like to share- whether that is folding papers, or country line dancing, we are happy to have you! We always have more rooms for volunteers. Just reach out to us at contact@endeavourpta.org and let us know what you like to help with!

Do I have to volunteer?

You do not have to volunteer as a PTA member, but we highly appreciate it! There are other ways to help support the PTA whether that's purchasing a Spirit Wear item, concessions at a family night.
